Collection: Living The Dream With My Children

About Laird Maresch

Hello, and welcome. I’m a father and a photographer, traveling the country with my two children. Our journey is as much about discovery and learning as it is about capturing the world through my lens.

Our home is a camper truck that we’ve built and adapted to suit our needs. It’s more than just a vehicle; it’s our sanctuary on wheels, taking us from one corner of the country to the next, guiding us to places where the road ends and the adventure begins. We travel not merely to see new sights but to experience life in its many forms and to learn through those experiences.

As a homeschooling father, I’ve come to understand that education is best served through lived experiences. Each day on the road is a lesson, each destination a classroom. We delve into the history of old towns, the geography of vast landscapes, and the science of nature as we move from one place to another. My photography serves as both a record and a teaching tool, documenting not only the beauty we encounter but also the lessons we learn along the way.

Our travels take us off the beaten path, into the heart of places where stories are written in the weathered faces of buildings and the quiet expanses of the land. We explore forgotten corners, capturing moments that speak of a simpler, deeper connection to the world. The shutter of my camera clicks to preserve these fleeting experiences, each image a reminder of the journey we share and the world we’re discovering together.

We believe in finding joy in the journey, in the small, everyday moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. Each photograph I take is a testament to the wonder and beauty of the world, and each lesson learned along the way is a building block in the education of my children.

So, come along with us. Follow our travels, share in our adventures, and perhaps find inspiration for your own journey. Through the lens of my camera and the experiences we embrace, we hope to show that the world is full of stories waiting to be discovered and lessons waiting to be learned.

Safe Travels,
Laird, and The Kids
